To put it short, Horizon: Zero Dawn is a stunning game. Every detail that deserved or should have attention received it. Such an engaging storyline and freedom to do what you want and go where you please is what makes Horizon: Zero Dawn different than any other open-world game I've seen. One of the only complaints I have regards the climbing system. It feels a little restricted at times since you can only climb and move where yellow rope/markers are placed, but that is one of the only complaints I have. Horizon is one of my favorite games of all time, with Titanfall (1 and 2) and Terraria following closely behind it. There are post-post-apocalyptic scenes and real-life places sprinkled across the map and with such fine details that it almost feels like I am in this world and am witnessing reality. The dynamic weather system accompanied by day and night cycles genuinely adds to this world's realism. The storyline is very engaging as well and allows you to really sink into what is happening, and provides you with an almost emotional bond with some of the characters you meet, Aloy mainly. Truly a masterpiece of a game, this is one of the best uses of $20-40 I can think of. I can't wait for Horizon: Forbidden West.
