While this is a fun book, I noticed immediately that although the book is set in Africa with animals native to Africa, not one African dance is represented or mentioned in the book. This is a shameful oversight in my opinion. Does every dance need to be native to Africa? No. But every dance is native to Europe. What does that tell you?

I find this interesting; however 2 episodes in and I’m irritated that the only dark-skinned woman I’ve seen is the housekeeper. Nothing against light-skinned women, but tired of seeing them as the ideal .

Was easy to watch and I liked it at first, however the American emphasis was extremely annoying. Also, it 100% played into the fallacy that American WHITE women are only good, pure, honest, and hard-working. Finally, it was honestly just too white.
