This is mostly a response to a review by Paula Griffin. Tyler didn't have cancer ("the big C") he had a torn AC, a really bad shoulder injury that needed surgery. Just think it's important to get that straight. It was still devastating to him, because his wrestling career was jeopardized. Anyway, I thought this was a really emotional, realistic, unique film. Difficult topics, very well-done.
Also, respectfully disagree with him being a "cold-blooded killer", but I guess that's the controversy of the movie. It opens up a dialogue abt serious issues. My opinion is that in one quick instant, he made a terrible mistake under the influence of drugs, alcohol, and a whole lot of intense emotions. He needed help, he couldn't manage everything going on in his life. I think it was an awful accident that claimed more than one young life, Tyler's included. He didn't set out to murder his girlfriend.
