Beautiful story that especially in one scene revealed a damming commentary on British society and the glaring differences between someone brought up in a Slavic society. The scene was set and the main character’s reaction to it ;the town on its way to church he said “their eyes were like glass “ souls deadened inside one presumes my sentiment exactly of the Anglican Church how else could it be in the gross materialism of 19th century England and how unlike what the main character came from!
