Had to watch it for a film history class, I think it’s terrible even if you ignore the blatant racism. It’s hard to follow with who is who and I feel there were so many unnecessary shots, and long shots of characters talking with little to no facial expressions, the movie is silent so it’s pointless to have these shots be so long. The music isn’t bad and quite liked it. Was it innovative in its editing and film techniques, yes, but honestly not worth wasting 3 hours of your life on. If you have to watch it for a class, find it on YouTube and put it in 2x speed to save yourself some time.
