Harry Goober

(No spoilers) I found the story interesting and captivating. The film really has the viewer sympathize with venom who is normally the villain in other films where he is included, which is hard to do with human characters. They successfully converted a previous antagonist into a protagonist just by showing venoms point of view. Despite wanting to eat every person he sees, Venom and Eddie end up as heroes which is unexpected. The special effects however are less than optimal. The CGI in the fight scenes are fantastic, while the idle scenes where venoms face shows or when he is in symbiote form could use quite a bit of work. The CGI from the trailer was even outdone by a college student with extra time on their hands.
