I thought the show was terrific- sumptuous, strong, terrifying. It appears to follow historical events although it is a drama designed to entertain . There is good character development and the fortunes of Marco Polo change. I hope there is another series although the brooding presence of Kublai Khan would be missing. The story told is basically a gang fight worked out on the Mongolian Steppes with one gang leader forging unity through strength and aggression. Whilst there is violence, it doesn’t take over the series. I recommend you watch it!
