I enjoyed this one. It stars the voice-acting talent of Karl Urban(Dredd), an actor I like. The story follows a little orphan girl, Maisie Brumble, who escapes from her orphanage and stows aboard The Inevitable where she befriends the friendly hunter Jacob Holland(Urban). Soon the ship runs into difficulties and Maisie and Jacob are separated from their ship and a lot of adventures are to befall them. Overall a very well animated and voice-acted animated C. G. I. Film suitable for people of all ages.

have seen "better" movies in my life. When Bough Breaks(1994) and Copycat(1995) are among the best and most suspenseful I've seen. Then there is The Bone Collector(1999) and Bone Daddy(1998). And Manhunter(1986), Manhunt: Search for the Night Stalker(1989), The Deliberate Stranger (1986), To Catch a Killer(1992). After watching all of the above films, you know where I'm coming from when I say I'm a seasoned hardcore movie fan. I've been watching films since the 80's and I've seen and lived through the golden age of Hollywood movies. This was for me the most anticipated movie of 2021 and it was a bitterly disappointing experience watching the film. The film lacks suspense and genuine jump scares which even the most mediocre horror movie these days contains. The background music score is lackluster and lacks intensity. The script and direction itself is bogus. There are plot holes in the film and we are left guessing as to the motive. The acting is decent but won't leave a lasting impression on you. Child actors Macaulay Culkin(Home Alone) and Elijah Wood(Huck Finn) were the best I've seen and no one can replace these legends. And aren't we so fortunate that these two legendary child actors starred in a movie together called The Good Son(1993). Ethan Hawke's acting is mediocre at best and he did much better in Sinisister(2012). In fact Sinister is a much better movie than this one. The movie is based on realism of day to day life. Such things do and can happen, but the utter lack of emotion and fear is lacking from this. Seasoned horror fans won't care to see this movie ever again. A step in the wrong direction for Scott Derrickson. Overall 4/10 points for this one.

Average vampire film, inferior to the Blade series of movies. I only watched this because of an episode of Spiderman 1994 animated series entitled Morbius(season two, episode 19). The movie relies largely on C. G. I. Effects to captivate the audience. The background sound effects are decent for a film of this type and the photography is too. The actors in the film are just about okay. I didn't find an actor I liked in this movie - too many stereotypes. The film concerns a boy with a terminal blood illness who grows up to become a research scientist in order to find a cure for his illness. However the cure he discovers has a horrifying and irreversible side-effect. The movie is somewhat similar to the cartoon episode/comic book character. Like many movies of this type, this one will get a sequel film. The movie has a very boring plot and it is directed badly. The script could have been better if the director had the good sense to change it. The special effects in the movie are nothing short of ridiculous and many in the audience are sure to guffaw. Overall I would call this movie a bitter disappointment and would only recommend this movie to diehard fans of Spiderman, Blade and Morbius.

Conan The Barbarian(1982) and The Vikings(1958) are much better entertainment. If you want to waste two and half hours watching pointless and ludicrous filth with a sub-political undertone, discrimination and occult perversion, then go ahead, be my guest. But Kirk Douglas produced a much better film that the late, legendary Richard Fleischer directed. Now that film was very worth it. If you have not seen it, please do so as it is a very good film and keeps true to events of that era. The next movie is Conan and I will not delve into it. It is the stuff of cult action-adventure films. The Northman is a bland Hamlet type revenge film with mediocre and bland acting. There is nothing new here if you are a veteran movie buff. If you do decide to watch this one, be sure you are able to sit more than two hours of watching banal characters on screen strut their stuff.

The worst movies I have seen in 2022. Unecessary, pointless remake. Having seen the original in the '80s, I was eagerly anticipating this one to be even better. But to my utter amazement and disgust, this one is even worse than the original. All the charm from the original movie is gone. Replaced with bland storytelling, a hopeless plot and bad acting. All the special effects are mostly C.G.I. The lead actress hams her way through the entire film unlike the realistic acting of the original actress in the 1984 film. The 1984 film had a plot light years better than this one and it makes me wonder what was the point of making this? I would not even recommend this as being worth your time.

The last Sonic movie I'll ever see. The sequel to the 2020 movie was anticipated by many and doesn't disappoint that much in the C. G.I. Department. I'd rate it as an average C.G.I. Live action movie hurriedly done with an awful cast of actors with the exception of Jim Carrey. The movie continues from the first with the addition of two new characters, mainly to keep kids(and parents) happy. The plot is slightly interesting and I will not delve too much into this. Is there a lot of spectacular over the top action in this one? Yes and no. They were trying to do a lot in this one. An action-adventure mystery that barely keeps from backfiring. Fans of Jim Carrey should definitely see this one before he quits acting altogether. To tell you the truth I only watched this one because of him and the legendary 2D platform game from Sega.

The sewers of Gotham smell less than this film A long time viewer of Batman movies since the Michael Keaton days. Have seen all of them: the Joel Schumacher Batman films and the Christian Bale ones. In conclusion: stick to the Tim Burton Batman movies. They are the best. Just slightly inferior are the Joel Schumacher movies because the casting was just terrible. And I count the Chris Nolan movies the worst ones because they took all the comic book fun out of them and destroyed what Tim Burton had created as a Batman standard. This movie does everything wrong. Bad actors, bad acing, bad direction. Even still the movie is almost three hours long and goes nowhere. There are no special effects like the Burton-Schumacher movies and are worse than the Chris Nolan films. No I wouldn't recommend you wasting three hours of your precious life on this Earth watching this horrid movie.

A thorough waste of my time. I will never watch another again if it concerns this multiverse hoax and inter-dimensional travel. What a load of garbage! I was a keen viewer of Spider-Man cartoons in the late 80's. The comic book charm of those cartoons was far superior than the garbage of this film and the Sam Raimi movies combined. Do yourself a favor stick to the 80's Spider-Man cartoons and The Amazing Spider-Man 1977 live action movie.

An uninspired remake of the classic Agatha Christie Novel This is my third Death Of The Nile film following the classic 1978 starring the late Peter Ustinov as the celebrated detective Hercule Poirot and the David Suchet miniseries episode. The events in the film are the same as the novel. Visually the movie is impressive. Kenneth Branagh does a professional job in portraying Poirot. His character is largely based upon David Suchet's Poirot. Suchet is by far the best Hercule Poirot actor ever and no one will ever fill his boots. Gal Gadot has a small role in the film but I find her very seductive as always. The rest of the cast is largely unknown to me but they all compliment each other and carry the film along. The film is never dull and I found it absorbing. My only gripe is this: was a remake necessary?

Perhaps the worst film Roland Emmerich has ever made. Roland Emmerich became a household name with films like Universal Soldier, Godzilla and Independence Day, which is considered his best film. Moonfall is in effect inferior to Independence day, a disaster movie in the same vein. The movie is heavily C. G. I.(computer-generated imagery) effects inspired as with most modern Hollywood movies these days. We only have two established veteran actors in the film: Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson. A small cameo by the legendary Donald Sutherland does not help the movie. Michael Peña is a veteran side actor in the film. The movie concerns the theory that the moon is a megastructure constructed by an advance race of beings. The disaster element of the film concerns the moon colliding with the Earth and an alien threat that threatens to wipe out the human species. You can call this a hybrid disaster/sci-fi movie. The main gripe I have with the film is the outrageousness of the plot and the dull script which never develops. The climax of the movie is sub-par and Emmerich could have done a better job with the script and made the film more interesting. Generally here there is nothing new for avid sci-fi fans and lovers of alien invasion movies. You might want to check out V The Miniseries 1983, which is a much better offering and more satisfying.
