This book feels like a first draft that was edited only for spelling and grammar.
At the risk of spoilers (I'll refrain from naming characters) chapters 61 - 66 serve as a HUGE continuity error, as a character that is supposedly being framed for a terror attack, does things that the real terrorist would actually do. So then, why does the innocent guy drug a collegue and use their basement to unload stinger missiles for no reason?
These chapters directly contradict the "twist" of the ending, which is less foreshadowed and straight up just advertised 100 pages from the ending.
There's also 3 additional cases being worked by a baseball team of characters, most of which end unceremoniously.
If James Patterson actually wrote this himself, this book is clearly an amalgamation of 4 plots he couldn't justify turning into full length novels.
This is one of the most disappointing books I've picked up since the last James Patterson/ James O. Born Michael Bennet story that was just plainly false advertised.
The ending is abrupt, the characters are mishandled, and a good 50 to 100 pages of filler could easily be removed with nothing of value being lost (like Nana's inexplicable YouTuber career).
