I am not a big fan of Angelina Jolee. I am a fan of tales of otherworldly environments that place a well known childrens story somewhere and sometime else and puts a new twist on it. I mean, it is a "movie", it is a story, it is entertainment and it entertains. We went from being overrun with Vampires and werewolves to so many zombie apocalypses and comic book characters and transformers arriving on the big screen. My escape to reality TV became the frustration of real being coached, coached being scripted, scripted being rehearsed and nothing real or true to life. So this was a nice escape, similarly to how to train your dragon and a dogs life.

I adore cyndi lauper and found the movie to be fun and entertaining. shame that many box office hits cannot say the same.
