Phenomenal film. I think the low star reviews are from trolls or people who thought it was just going to be a mindless action movie.

Really good movie, people hate on this for a few reasons, most of which have nothing to do with the film's actual quality. The one glaring issue I noticed was that the action of the story is rooted in a pretty big plot hole (why did they not just have the explorers go into cryo for the long journey), BUT... LOTR is also built around a large plot hole and we all love those movies just fine. The camera techniques and way they handled this modern retelling of lord of the flies (despite what was clearly a limited budget) is unique and definitely worth a watch.
