I know what you all might say.
This movie wasn't the best in all of its features.
The dialog could've been better, the songs could've been better. But at the same time, I don't think people realize. This movie wasn't made to be enjoyable. It was made to show something that I don't think enough people in highschool realize. Hiding and blending into the background isn't the only theme in this movie. I think the theme was:
We are stars.
In our own special way.
But we don't show it. Because we lost it the day we turned into teenagers.
Stargirl never lost it. But they pushed her away, and just like a star in the night. She faded away, never to be seen again.
I think the real moral is,
There are stars in sunlight, but our eyes are too dark to see them.
