I think it tried to be lightweight and serious at the same time and a lot of the messages felt fake. Nevertheless, I did laugh at some good sarcastic jokes. America Ferrera’s monologue saves the movie. Lots of Barbie lore jokes that only fans will understand. Amazing costumes and sets. Still, I expected a more cohesive storyline. Still, I had fun and ate my pink popcorn happily. Definitely not a movie for kids.

I was expecting the worst jokes, the worst characters and the worst acting but it was actually really good! I'm glad I'm not seeing Hilary Duff in her normal pose of her thumbs hanging permanently from her pockets. The ending was touching too. I still have high expectations but will definetly keep on watching!
