This adaptation bears very little resemblance to the HG Wells story. Are modern screenwriter so totally bankrupt of ideas that they have to massacre what is still an excellent story.
Introducing characters that don't exist in the original story simply to cowtow to modern days ideas of gender and political correctness destroyed the impact of the real story.
