Love this series, it's addicting. There are a lot of little inaccuracies but all in all, well presented, with an enthralling story line. An example of stretching the truth is in season 1 episode 1, where John delivers a breach calf, which immediately gets up and runs after it is born. Reality is that most calves take 20 minutes to an hour to stand, let alone run. Even google knows this, it's no secret. Little things like this arrive in every season, making me wonder why the writer didn't research just a little more. The nearby towns remind me of all those wonderful places in Eastern Oregon that were over run then taken over by rich California's. All in all, a sad look into the future of the wilds of America. Sadly, once it's been paved, it will never go back.

Love the series. Having lived right outside Portland for a LONG time, it's fun to see familiar sights. Having an issue with a Portland cop running around Clackamas County (and forest service areas) though. They really are not such good buddies with each other. County recently broke ties with PDX because PDX won't back up the county or some such excuse. Anyway, surprised to see them waltzing around West Linn and Diamond Lake among other areas. All in all a good fun monster/cop/detective series.
