Brilliant brilliant brilliant game. This game I think is a close second only to Halo CE and Halo Infinite for greatest single player game I have ever played, and on some days I might say this is even better.
The idea of restocking ammo, armour and health by killing enemies works so well.
I really enjoy the platforming sections too, because they break up the intensity of the combat sections. And for me they come as a very welcome breather.
The combat loop is so enjoyable, but also super intense. This game isn't for the faint of heart, because it is super fast paced. What I really noticed about this game, is it has the same fluid, smooth gameplay that halo does, maybe even more so. It really is a joy to play.
One thing I would say however, is it does take a while to get used to the gameplay mechanics, as this game is very different from most other shooters. You need to fully utilise the flame belch and chainsaw to restock ammo and armour, and that takes a while to get accustomed to. Thankfully you can change the difficulty setting at any time. Just persevere, because it is well worth it.
My only criticism of the game, was the story is all in long, tedious text logs that are incredibly tedious to try and read. I really hate when the story of a game is in text. I want the story to happen in game, more like how GTA 5 does it.
