It's very easy to read Adam Day's writing. For the most part his poems are short and brief. When I read Left-Handed Wolf, I found it best to read each poem twice before flipping to the next page. The title of his poems, as said at the beginning of the book are derived from the Buddhist language. To me, the poems being named unfamiliar words allowed me to dictate what the poems meant myself. I particularly enjoyed "Chenrezig". It describes a cold January night with outstanding, yet simple imagery, "Scarlet and cobalt paper lanterns hung with icicles."
