Love the nostalgia, but bad storytelling. The movie gives Spider-Man, with the help of a few others, the intelligence to somehow rehabilitate 5 villains within 24 hours in exchange for the life of his loved one. He could easily bring the world the cure for cancer instead of using his energy to get into a university that doesn't want him.
