It was a disappointment. I read up about Bernstein after the movie and learned far more about him. There's no depiction of his political activism, West Side Story is barely mentioned, and he did not have Bradley Cooper's piercing blue eyes. Brown contacts not in the budget? The focus of the film, from beginning to end is how he cheated on his wife with men. She complained about how he wasn't there for his family, but not because of his demanding career!

Very powerful, more so than “Garden State”, which I loved. Florence Pugh was excellent, as was Morgan Freeman, of course.

My only complaint about this thrilling film is how little credit Tracy Edwards gets for being SMART. Yes, she's determined and pretty. But her smarts in getting a great crew, backing and learning so fast mustn't be ignored.
