The original formula works so why change it? Also for a free game what do you expect? The quality is still as good as a paid game and way better than most free-to-play games. If you don't mind cosmetics then you don't need to spend a penny to enjoy this game at the fullest and all the maps. There are so many maps that in an entire day I'll probably play the same map 2 or 3 times. With different maps and players each session, it keeps the gameplay fresh.
I believe Overwatch 2 is the most perfect multiplayer game out there these days. Quick team based modes that are never slow or boring. To have a game balanced with such diverse hero skills is very difficult to do, especially with how many more heroes they added since the original launch. For anyone saying that it seems unbalanced needs to realize that it's a TEAM BASED MULTIPLAYER game, you can't own everyone playing solo, help your team with support and suppression to succeed. If your teammates die, regroup and don't rush the objective alone. If you play as a team then it's very balanced since the skills are meant to help your teammates in addition to killing the enemy. Also when checking the stats of several random players, everyone has around a 2.0 overall k/d ratio. So you tell me if that seems unbalanced to you? Everyone has amazing stats compared to any other game because this is the only game that will give the kill to multiple teammates that are close to killing the same enemy. This prevents from getting your kill stolen if you do most of the damage and a teammate gets the kill shot. To get a kill you obviously have to kill the enemy however you can also get a kill if you do around 90% of damage before the enemy dies or get the final kill shot if a teammate does more damage to the enemy. This is genius and more online shooters need to do this. I think this is the main key for the success of this game. Everyone feels satisfied when their kills are not stolen.
