This movie was a snooze fest. I fell asleep three times. The pacing was obnoxiously slow and uninteresting. The actions scenes in total were no more than 20 minutes out of a 2 hour and 48 minute run time. I didn’t like Pattinson for the role when they announced it. But he did a great job. And Zoe Kravitz delivers an amazing performance. I’m a DC Comics guy and fan. Superman and Batman were my favorites growing up. The problem is DC still cannot get movies right. The directing in this movie was godawful. I tried liking or understanding Bruce Wayne’s turmoil but it never reached me. I have a low bar when it comes to movies and can be excited for just about anything but his movie was just plain awful. I think the positive reviews are people that wanted it to be great but were as disappointed as I was but don’t have the heart to be honest. Christopher Nolan’s take was the best on Batman so far. I had hopes for The Batman, I really did. The one good thing for me is I will take Robert Pattinson more seriously now. I hadn’t seen him in anything else but Twilight and couldn’t see him in a serious role.

Hell is only a word. But this movie shows you what it is like. Good god what a creepy, terrifying and unsettling movie. It still affects me to this day. Those flash scenes will knock you off your center and keep you there because you do not know if or when they will come back. Fantastic movie that I will never watch again.
