A great 'Boys Own' type adventure. The sort of challenge that ( typically ) young men are drawn to, with twists and turns that make this story attractive.

Enjoyed this book immensely. A wonderful adventure tinged with sadness but the adventure remains. Places so remote that even today these places are only visited by hardy four wheel drive enthusiasts.

Laurence's book reads with ease. His experiences feel genuine, honest and with little inserting of commonly held interpretations. For a touch of the Spiritual I highly recommend it.

The first chapter is riveting , spellbinding and beautiful when innocence is confronted by the real world. A world she knew a great deal about but finds that it is easy to be caught flatfooted when one is actually there. Now to read a bit more!
