I really enjoy watching Charles Laughton act, especially when he is given a great script. I thought Marlene Dietrich had an equally significant impact with her character in this movie. I don't like to think of Tyrone Power as a sleazy murderer, but he pulled off the role quite well.
And last but not least the tremendous depth of the supporting character actors and actresses are truly amazing!
