spoiler alert.. I guess? As a huge Guillermo fan, this movie just broke my heart a bit. It was so dull and lacklustre - I was so excited to become enraptured by another one of his stories, but instead we just got a lying white man who manipulates everyone around him, beats people up and then becomes an alcoholic? I would expect this from any other mainstream movie, but not Guillermo. Throughout the whole movie I was just waiting for the twist or something exciting to happen, but the whole film was just one note. If anything, this wasn’t a movie, it was just a PowerPoint of Bradley Cooper smoking as many cigarettes as he could before the credits rolled. The good parts for me were that the set designs were beautiful, love an old circus, and the music was nice. It was also great to see Ron Perlman and Willem Dafoe - wish more had been done with their characters. Going to cancel this film from my memory now and go back to watching shape of water.

Absolutely adore Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey - the story reminds me almost of Mr Magorium with a dash of Coco and then a magical amount of something completely new! The story is so heartwarming and lovely to witness. The characters are all memorable and so easy to fall in love with! Although the stories events are slightly predictable, like all Christmas movies are, Jingle Jangle offers something new and has you smiling, laughing, singing and even crying! Jingle Jangle is what 2020 NEEDED! With the entire world waiting for a pandemic to end and life to return to normal, this wonderful story brings back the Christmas magic we thought we had lost!
