I love how the characters speak mainly in the language of the country..so much more realistic. Poland that suffered so much deserves the attention given in the program. The press restrictions in Germany, the persecution of the Gay community is not often shown.

I thought it was very well done. It seemed historically accurate. The portrayal of the Admirals on both sides was excellent. The characterisation of the other characters was good also. The effects were amazing. It was not fun because War is not fun - hey !

I thought it was a wonderful movie What dilemmas these people went through. Even Leo, her lover, who was Jewish. To him and many people then, Communism was the answer. After all the nazis had almost killed him. It is true they didn't know what Stalin was like then. My Auntie and uncle were Communist party members in Australia. It was only in the 1960's and after the invasion of Hungary in 1956 that some Australian communist s realised what Stalin was like.

4.5 -5. I found it engrossing. I hadnt heard of it before. I have read a lot about the Holocaust. I am going to Auschwitz in mid 2019. Those scenes were very interesting to me. What an absolutely appalling person is David Irving. But what great acting by Timothy Spall and also Rachel Weisz.
