Was a bit reluctant to give this a watch after the revelations about Joss Whedon. I was a big fan of his previous work but still felt pretty burnt by him.
Anyway, I decided to give it a watch, and I'm glad I did. It's a compelling story, with some really good acting and compelling characters. The fight choreography isn't the multi-cut nonsense that makes it impossible to follow. The only thing that keeps me from giving it five-stars is that there are some key story details that could use a little bit more emphasis. I have to go scrambling for the internet from time to time to figure out what is happening.
