Goynar Baksho will forever remain etched in memory as one of the finest Bengali language films ever made. It had all the ingredients of a good film making helmed by ace director, Aparna Sen and brought to fruition by a stellar cast comprising of Mousumi, Konkona, Shaswata, Paran da and others. I must insist cinephiles to dig into the movie and relish it all you can because once you do, you will keep coming back for it time and again. Mousumi delivers her role as the miser dead aunt with the utmost affection and humor. Konkona compliments her role effervescently ( the stammer comes across naturally). Without giving away much, and being eternally late to write something about this film, I would like to say only this - PLEASE WATCH IT ASAP!

A brilliant score by the director with an outstanding cast and music. Without paying much heed to the negative reviews, give it the due credit and you will be entertained until the end. Kunal, Rasika, Vijay, Ranvir, Gajraj and the rest pull off the money heist in an impeccable way.
