It's not my first Lars movie, so I knew the style and what to expect. But this movie, 2 hours and a half, that was the real torture, not what Jack did, the protagonist. Ok, the structure similar to the director's other movies, but really, what I don't get is why all the analogies, the metaphores, they don't make sense to me. Killing is art and after that a comparison to gothic churches. I mean ok, it's meant to make the movie plot seem smarter and wants to give the crimes a meaning, but with what price? 2 and a half hour of almost 0 action, a lot of talking without any real meaning. It's my last Lars von Boring movie.
