I am most of the way through season 2.
Ertugrul is brave and honest. Someone to look up to. A lot of the characters are interesting. The costumes and settings are very good.
Selcan is a good character and so is Aytolun. Halime has her moments but, for the most part, she just stands there with a look of anguish on her face!!
Hayme is a good character too.
Some notable others: Demir, Bamsi…
Favourite character so far is Noyan!!
The fight scenes are brilliant!! I’m sure some of the actors must get hurt during filming.
The English subtitles are frequently poor in terms of spelling, translation, grammar and punctuation. I often find it hard to understand. A lot of English proverbs are used so it’s obvious someone with a good knowledge of English is sometimes translating the series but the poor translation outweighs the bad I’m afraid!!
Both series so far have been long and drawn out. It’s often predictable and repetitive.
I haven’t found it to be suspenseful or exciting.
I don’t think much of the directing!!
Plenty of fight scenes with fake blood, heads rolling on the floor after an execution, people having their throats cut…..the blood is then hidden so you can only see a smear of red!! Bizarre!! Seems pointless.
In short, I have a lot of issues with the series….but I’m still hooked!!
