Butcher's Crossing is almost painful to watch. Nicholas Cage seemed to do the best he could with the poorly written dialogue. The movie jumps around in seemingly meaningless ways, creating a slow moving, disjointed story line. Two of the supporting characters are unrealistic and unbelievable. I felt as though I was watching an incredibly slow moving train wreck, hoping all the while that a miracle would save it from a totalling crash. I give it two stars - one for Nicholas Cage and 1 for Jeremy Bobb.
