Pathetic attempt to glorify the hero, takes away the strong message and impact that Pink put forth. Though, both Pink & Nerkonda Paarvai had big names like Amitabh Bachchan & Ajith Kumar, never was the limelight taken from the women from who's perspective the story was being told, that's exactly were Vakeel Saab fails! The focus is hero and his actions. While the hero should have been seen as a supporting character, here the women are subjected to supporting roles and hero takes up the centre-stage. Pink & Nerkonda Parvai, which were both women-centric in the very nature, this one is a complete disappointment. Even while delivering the message it was intended to be doing, this movie fails pathetically!
A dancer gets replaced with a software engineer so that it becomes much more acceptable and the instances for the heinous crime is all twisted up & justified in a way it fits the societies so called norms!
All together, the movie is a very pathetic attempt in re-creating a revolutionary movie which was an eye-opener in many ways (I mean what's up with the whole Shruti Hassan narrative?!), Just goes on deviating. Fails instantly in all the aspects that those both Pink & N.P laid focus on.
While seeing Vakeel Saab, the one thing that occured to me was that the court scene was absolutely unnecessary due to the way the story line was being carried forth, Satyadev could have as well settled it outside the court due to the all mass hero image he was being given in the movie!
The one factor as usual that stood out for me was the performance from Prakash Raj, in his usual best self!
