Sadly, having waited for so long for a new Thomas Harris novel I couldn't have been more disappointed by the results of a 13 year wait. Red Dragon is possibly the greatest crime mystery novel of the past 50 years in my humble opinion but how that book and Cari Mora could have been written by the same author is troubling and perhaps the greatest mystery of all? Hannibal Rising was awful and slight but excused as quite clearly a rush job payday to tie in to the film release. Cari Mora is far worse and he had all the time in the world to write it! I gave up after 3 chapters...
