FINALLY some originality! Not a sequel, prequel, remake, or a hero movie which is all Hollywood puts out. The plot in this movie is very clever. Cage is always good at being strange and funny at times.

I was enthralled with this movie. Why? Because I just couldn't believe how bad it is. The premise is original and creative; I was really looking forward to seeing this movie. The scenery is amazing, it makes you want to go there. The production was high end. However, everything else is terrible. The dialogue is awful - infantile, as if kids wrote the dialogue. The acting was just as bad. The flat affect (i.e., lack of reactions) from the characters as extraordinary events unfolded in front of them was frustrating. The whole time I was watching this movie, I kept thinking, "Is this a joke? Is this supposed to be a serious movie? Is Shyamalan having a laugh at us?" I don't think it even warrants 1 star, but you can't go lower.
