Everything about this show is just so intense and beautiful. You have moments where everyone is being silly and acting cute, the moments where everything is edge-of-your-seat intense, and emotional moments where you could cry. The animation and detail is magnificent and each character has their own uniqueness. It's pretty difficult to find a character you genuinely dislike from my experience. In addition to all of this, the story is also very captivating. It's not all just about competing in swimming tournaments or watching attractive guys. There are actual plot points such as figuring out what your plans are for the future, to learning who your friends are and how to work your way through struggles. If you want an anime that catches both your eyes AND your heart strings, I extremely recommend watching Free!
