It seems to be missing all the light hearted humor that SG1 and Atlantis were known for. It takes itself too seriously. The melodrama is at times painful and adds nothing to the story. At times it seems to abandon all the continuity of the original. It is watchable but I think it was rushed. I woyld have rather yhey did a better job at wrapping up Atlantis before immediately launching a new franchise with very little back story.

Story had no continuity within the movie. You don't tell how to stop the villain half way through the movie then forget that when you actually stop the villain. Two people in water but only the villain is affected by electricity? How dumb do you think your audience is? This is one of the most disappointing sequels I have seen. I thought X-men Dark Phoenix was better and that wasn't very good. For free it is okay but not worth paying to see, wait for it to reach Netflix or another streaming service
