So many basic, factual inaccuracies that should have been easily researchable... starting with the fact that a Chief Constable simply does NOT get involved with day to day police investigations, least of all attending crime scenes. He’s a Headquarters Admin Executive, rarely seen by the lower ranks. Oh and he certainly doesn’t have a badge on his tunic that says ‘Chief Constable’! His insignia is sufficient - he doesn’t need the label. It had the potential to be decent yarn, but appears to have been doomed from the first draft.
