This was a good series with admirable acting but I was able to discern the outcome for just about every mystery or open end the show had offered. It is a little disappointing when a show fails to surprise you over and over again. Episode endings that we're supposed to be shocking often ended up being humorous instead due to being so contrived.
Add to this shortcoming, scenes that we're supposed to be heart-wrenching didn't even cause the slightest inclination to sadness. Be it the grievous moral shortcomings of the main characters or bad writing I do not know.
However despite all of this, the production values, acting, and theme kept it interesting enough for me to keep watching. The scenes are well put together and the atmosphere is convincing. The swordplay is satisfying and the medieval fanfare done well enough to convey a sense of admiration and awe for the knights.
