This game is absolutely the best game I have ever played. It had me question a lot of things. From the advancement in technology to the understanding of humanity and what it means to be a human. Everything is based on a decision and every decision comes with a consequence and as well as a potential reward. This game had me feel as if I was really in the world of Detroit. It had me develop so much care, understanding and empathy for all the characters.
On the topic of characters, Kara and Markus were by far my most favorites characters. Specifically Markus. Whenever I played Markus I truly felt as if I was in his head. I understood the feeling of discrimination and the troubles he faced through out the story.
As the story progressed, my determination and desire to bring equality to both the androids and humans grew stronger and stronger. And as the ending reached....,.I had nothing but tears flow down my face. I have rarely cried to any game. And when I have, it was because a character died. But it is a disservice to this game to compare the deaths to any other game. The deaths that occurred were not the only moment I shed tears to. I do not want to comment any spoilers. There are many endings, but if you are so lucky to reach the happy ending, I’m sure anyone who reads this review will know exactly which moment strikes your heart with happiness and achievement, as well as which moment leaves with a heavy feeling of sadness.
Overall, this game is definitely worth playing if you’re an individual who really wants to feel connected with every character you interact with and truly feel as if you are submerged in its world. I will end this with a fun fact as well, this is my first review for any game, ever. That alone should say something. Enjoy ;)
