Take some advice and don't be sheeple people. Don't listen to the 'professional' critics (professional used in the loosest term possible) - the well known but incorrect phrase 'those who can't... teach' comes to mind with the movie critics - what do most of them know anyway, when many of them are just frustrated wannabe performers ha ha - I loved it, and everyone I know that has seen it, loves it too - VERY faithful to the original stage versions in costume, make-up, choreography, and orchestral arrangements. Jennifer Hudson VERY emotional performance, and boy when she delivered the iconic song? VERY emotional, Sir Ian was puuurrrrrfect casting of Gus the theatre cat, the magnetism of Dame Judi was hypnotic, and former New York City ballet star Robbie Fairchild's phenomenal dancing skill and overall musical theatre expertise was superb as the main 'anchoring' character too. Don't be fooled by the 'so-called' critics -Go make up your own minds :)
