The second season is awful. Not having read the novel, I am not a 'Foundation' purist. However, the first season had gravity, good pacing and believable storylines, which is completely lacking from the second reason. They have just put in pointless overdramatic dialogues, and tons of action making it more like Star Wars. Did not expect this type of thing from Apple TV+.

What a waste of a billion dollars! This is unfortunately exactly how the trailers made it out to be. Though it is visually stunning, there is no such clear storyline or good acting. There is far too much background music going on such that no actual character development takes place in the first two episodes. There were so many cliche dialogues which no one would believably say and unnatural stances of talking like in theatre. The original LOTR series also had a lot of action but they also had a realistic story progression which is certainly not the case here as only multiple action sequences are visible. This is just super uninteresting, especially when compared with the Fantastic House of The Dragon show that just came out. Prime Video should really start to rethink the writers they get for shows such as this and WoT among others.

It is positively different and unique in its own way, especially the last episode shot over zoom was outstanding and a trendsetter for other shows to follow over the next year amidst this pandemic. The show is truly incredible.
