Having watched the movie I now want to read the book. Fascinating premise, very accomplished acting, great to have a movie which is unpredictable and forces you to pay attention & think. Loved it.

A beautifully filmed story of love; Cate Blanchette as luminous as ever, Roony Mara plays the ingenue so well. A tale as breathtaking as the hypocrisy of the 50s era. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really enjoyed this movie, especially as it's based on fact. I'm not usually a fan of Keira Knightly but she did a great job of this film - perhaps she's getting better as she matures, perhaps I'm getting less critical as I age 😂 I'm not usually one for historical dramas either - so all in all, 5 stars from me.

Such an amazing story of endurance, and so good that more & more true stories of courage from WWI & II are being made into films. Great story, excellent acting 👍

Fantastic movie, just the kind of western i want to see, subtle and sensitive direction; Scott Cooper is a master of his craft, very impressive. Great acting throughout. Loved it.

Think every romcom over the last 20 years, add in aging but holding together well Julia & George. Dreadful. Shame on me for watching it.

This was one of the best historical & political dramas I've watched. Excellent acting, crisply directed, a well told story with captivating characters. Loved it.
