If you want a movie that ties up its end nicely and has decent new character development, I would stay away from this one. A lot of the plot felt extremely cliche, and they tried to shove way too much into one movie: leaving the audience with an unsatisfying resolution. It was weird, and not in the "Oh yeah! It's a Beetlejuice movie" way but in more of a "what the fuck is happening" way.
All I can say is: it felt uncomfortable. The odd plotline, the even worse plot twists, and the forgettable characters made this movie hard to enjoy.
Sure, the cast is lovely - and all talented in their own right - but I wish they would've left it as a single movie - or at least paid more homage to the original.
If you want to feel unsatisfied after watching a movie, I suppose this is the sequel for you.
