Very intense and disturbing. I couldn't help but have sympathy for him, at least in the beginning. He tried to make connections with others, but everyone "knocked him down," both physically and metaphorically. To me, this movie stresses that killers arent born, they're made. Joaquin Phoenix gave an awesome performance! You couldnt predict what his character would do next!,
