All of the spectacular visual effects and technological bells and whistles that worked so well for "Hollow Man" (corny and campy as that movie was) work amazingly well here in the less is more, minimalistic approach but still not disappointing in the CGI respect. In fact, it's that old school POV and actor's response to someone that "isn't there" that drives the suspense that much more intensely.
I was HIGHLY surprised by this one. And, finally a suspense thriller with a satisfying ending and plot devices and twists that ultimately hold up upon repeat viewing.
I was quite happy with the way the newest Scream movie turned out. Actually ALOT better than I expected, but this new treatment of the Invisible Man is very original as well as inspired. Again, super impressed!
