Future Nostalgia is one of the great takes on 80s disco and has helped push the 80s sound into the mainstream along with After Hours. Dua Lipa has managed to include several hit songs into this album and remains as one of the best listens of 2020.

After Hours deserves every praise it has received since its release. It's beautiful blend of neo-soul, R&B, pop and new wave help sell it as The Weeknd's best commercial release to date. After Hours is also The Weekend's most consistent record as it boasts an incredible array of 80s synths and new wave sounds that are present in the albums best hits such as 'Blinding Lights', 'Save Your Tears' and 'In Your Eyes'. It also manages to sound somewhat edgy with fantastic tracks such as 'Faith', 'Alone Again' and 'Hardest to Love'. After Hours also works in some sad tracks such as 'Hardest to Love', 'After Hours' and 'Scared to Live' which all help to emphaise the albums themes of love, loneliness, addiction, lust, and heartache. If you haven't listen to this album yet. Do it.

Scorpion is a very interesting album in Drake's discography. It seems to have nailed its sound with a mixture of r&b, hip hop and soul, but it is packed to the brim with filler. Most of the songs on disc 1 and 2 sound like an after thought which is a massive disappointment considering Scorpion has some of Drakes best singles of the 2010's.

Strangely enough, this is one of my favourite Kanye records. JIK is beautifully produced with some heavenly choir vocals spread out throughout the record. Although Kanye includes some really corny bars like on 'Closed on Sunday', its a refreshing listen for any Kanye fan and it sounds like a genuine attempt at a gospel album, even if Kanye's egotism is still present throughout a lot of the tracks.

Donda is great record and was everything Jesus is King was supposed to be. However, it comes with a lot of baggage and some confusing "pt.2" tracks that mark a disappointing end to the record. Kanye does, however, include some of his best songs since TLOP, namely 'Hurricane', 'Off The Grid', 'Jail' and 'Jesus Lord'. Definitely worth a listen!

For a YouTuber who has only been in the music industry for 2 years, this album is surprisingly good and has some undeniable bangers on it. It could do without all the filler tracks though...

Drake continues his downward spiral into the same bland trap and dreamy r&b sounds that have popped up on his last 3 albums. Even Scorpion, a record packed with filler, has more edge and hits than this. CLB has a few great songs, but Drake offers up nothing new sonically for a majority of the record. Massive disappointment.

One of the greatest albums ever made. Nothing much to say other than that. Nothing will ever sound like it ever again.
