All in all I was disappointed. It's a fantastic story but it felt stodgy and old fashioned and a tad pedestrian, which is very surprising coming from a maverick director like Simon Stone. And what was the point of the cheesy love story? Liked Ralph Fiennes very much, and I'm told since he comes from Suffolk he's one of very few actors who can get the accent right!

Excellent. Written with wit and heart.

Loved the first three quarters but was utterly bewildered by the fourth.

Wonderful to see Sophia Loren giving such an unsentimental performance in what is a disappointingly sentimental and predictable film.

Disappointing. A first rate cast but unlikely stories leading to even more unlikely (not to say sentimental) resolutions. Not convinced by any of the characters despite the excellent performances.
