The humour is incredibly dull, it’s as if a group of Hollywood bigwigs all decided to write stand-up material.. they just miss the mark. The long silences and quips (why did he charge us for snacks?) feel like they belong on Disney channel classics such as Suite Life or Drake and Josh. The main issue with the movie is they tried to make a comedy with an all-star cast, however, theres only one actor in the whole feature I’d describe as funny (not in this movie) and that’s Jonah Hill. Jonah’s character was pretty much a carbon copy of his SuperBad role and it didn’t fit at all well. SPOILERS ————- If you manage to finish it (it feels like it never ends) there is a pretty good final scene where a group accept their fate together, Dicaprio’s acting here is pretty phenomenal and that’s the only reason the movie gets more than 1 star. Save your time, there’s been much better apocalypse movies.
