When she said no its an evidence but what cameras photos and evenn admitting they demanded money is not an evidence. Consent was there when thwy demanded money ..why would they 'change their mind ' out of nowhere

This could have been a masterpiece, if you just ignore last 15 to 20 minutes of this movie.
Why the hell dave confessed killing katie when he actually didnt kill her. And why police didnt carry on investigation further into the dave murder case
