The movie tried so hard to put everything g in 2 hours that it ended up falling on the parts that were supposed to make us fall in love with some of the characters. Instead the movie showed us nothing about Atlantis except for its high technology and cheesey come backs and glances. Don't get me wrong, it's an entertaining movie, theres just a lot of love missing from this movie. The only people I ended up caring about was the queen of Atlantis and aquaman father who were not the focal point of the movie. There was so much going on that the plot took weird turns and characters that had no relevance to the story or characters were thrown in. CGI has its moment and place in certain films but this one made it so incredibly unrealistic, especially with the water creatures and marine life. It could have been so much better toned down. It felt like a school project that you cant quite stop working on because you're afraid no one will understand or like it. Jason Momoa is a great actor but the representation of his character was lost behind all his cheesy lines and most likely deleted scenes of him growing up and forming his personally and uniqueness.
