Instant epic classic. The authenticity combined with the interesting storyline of this Mel Gibson directed film in general accurately depicts the Mayan culture around the 1500 period. The attention to detail in all respects is top notch. Not for the weak stomached as the sacrifice scenes are extremely graphic. Highly recommended.
